MOVIES

Ironman
Went to see this last week. Genuinely entertaining film. I was a bit sceptical going in ("not another comic book adaptation") but this was really good- I liked the characters, the story, the little touches of humour (Stark first learning to fly in the lab for example), and the effects were good too. Good on yer, Robert Downey Junior, you've created a very watchable character who's not as much as a goody goody as Clark Kent and not such a grumpy Emo as Bruce Wayne :)

Doomsday
All the reviews Ive read slated it, saying it was lightweight pulpy nonesense. However I would say its probably the most fun film I've seen at the cinema for ages :) In fact I havent enjoyed a film that much since I went to see "V for Vendetta". "Doomsday" is by a Cumbrian director, its set in a future Scotland after Hadrians Wall has been re-established, and its basically a cross between Mad Max, Escape from New York, with hints of Children of Men and 28 Days Later. Its bloody brilliant, most of the films it homages are in my movie collection anyway. Most people dont seem to like this film that much. I loved it :) Little things like the burning APC shouldering its way through wreckage whilst an assailant smashes through the windscreen ("Aliens"), to a complete section of the Night Rider/ Interceptor chase scene from the start of the first "Mad Max" film, down to using the same camera angles- I was squeening like mad.

PHOTOS
Just finished some new shots for the second part of Quiet Riot. These will be a bit different to the concept of the first shoot, but I'm really happy with the shots, so now just to photoshop and merge them. BIIIIIIG thanks to Tom :iconsilverbolt2012: , the biggest, scariest looking chap I know, for modelling again.
Following these will be some long exposure shots of trains and cars that I've been playing about with, and also by popular requests a Deady Bears version of the teddy bears picnic montages and a reshoot of Unicorn Autopsy. That should carry me nicely up to the RAF Fairford Air Show, for which my sister has kindly got me some free tickets (she's going to be driving officers around the base during the show, so complimentary tickets ahoy!)

Anyway, must dasheroo. Things to do (sleep mainly, its nearly midnight). Trying desperately to catch up with commenting on peoples work, please bear with me :)

That is the most beautiful description of Grange I've heard yet. It felt exactly like that.

Marvelous, of course. You could hear the birds calling, but couldn't see any of them through the mist.

And thank you for the favourite. =]
