Every summer seems to bring something new. Last year it was the spam notes flooding peoples accounts. This year it appears to be some wanker coming in (apparently and supposedly) off a Scientology site, and who's been hacking accounts, posting disgusting pictures, getting artists banned, then leaving a gloating message. I've now heard of two deviantartists, in 24 hours, being taken down this way.

Whats more shocking is that apparently DA hasnt acknowledged the problem. Theres been nothing on the help forum when I last looked, and the artists are getting banned without the ability to defend themselves. The cynic paranoid conspiracy theorist part of me wonders if this is DA covering up a problem rather than doing anything about it (I heard recently that the security protocols on here are pretty lame, and that money hasnt been pumped into security).

I'm waiting to see what happens, but in the mean time I'm trying to save the DA adresses and msn's of people off my watch list, so if something happens and I have to start again I can get back in touch with people...
